Cognitive Processing Therapy for First Responders
This training will provide an overview of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and discuss why this modality is useful when treating fire service members experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related symptoms. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of CPT, how it works and why it is an effective modality in treating trauma experienced by fire service members. This webinar is appropriate for fire service members, treatment providers, family members, spouses or anyone who is curious to learn more about CPT
This training will also include case studies from real-life fire scenes to facilitate learning and increase insight into how the fire service occupation may put members at risk for exposure to potentially traumatic events.

About the presenters: Keynan Hobbs is a Board-Certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist at First Alarm Wellness in Vista, Ca. Keynan has been counseling full-time for close to a decade, and his focus is treating PTSD in first responders and military/veterans.

Molly Jones, LSW is the Clinical Outreach Coordinator at the International Association of Fire Fighters Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery.

IAFF Center of Excellence has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.7114.
